Is USPS back to normal? Had two packages supposed to deliver tomorrow and Monday. One arrived yesterday, other is out for delivery.

  • KaraWestercamp
Kara Westercamp (@KaraWestercamp) reported from Arlington, Virginia

@SleestakPOTUS I wonder, also. Maybe because of the Postal Service Union? There’s also a lot of disadvantaged companies who contract with USPS to deliver mail and they may have employees who are less likely to have taken the vaccine? Don’t make a Federal mandate if it has carveouts.

  • mlopez13112
Mark Lopez (@mlopez13112) reported from Arlington, Virginia

@forestwitch16 I think it depends on your personal preference and what the specific jobs are (for USPS are you a courier, or work in post office serving retail functions or in a distribution center; for Costco are you in customer service, working cashier, stock, in a specific dept, etc).

  • chelsdyl
Chelsea Cole (@chelsdyl) reported from Arlington, Virginia

@gappyharrisjr Just wanted to share that I have four USPS packages between the Detroit and Pontiac distribution centers that have been there for 7-10 days. I called them and was on hold for an hour before they hung up. I know they've decreased service in SE MI but this is wild!

  • AndreaNRuth
Andrea Caruso (@AndreaNRuth) reported from Arlington, Virginia

I thought Saturday was Sunday all day. And I thought today was Sunday, too, until I got the USPS Informed Delivery email just now. So, things are going well...

  • AndreaNRuth
Andrea Caruso (@AndreaNRuth) reported from Arlington, Virginia

Is the USPS taking the week off or something? I haven’t received an informed delivery (meaning no mail is coming) since Tuesday morning.

  • BobLabes
Truth Matters (@BobLabes) reported from Jefferson, Virginia

@RichardGrenell How much money did the military “lose” last year? The USPS is a national service, no different than our military. It should be given the same resources and same respect

  • cefilby
🇺🇸Chris Filby🇺🇸 (@cefilby) reported from Falls Church, Virginia

@BernieSanders The Postal Service #USPS @USPS mandate is broad and complex and overburdened with cost as it is without piling on financial services responsibilities. Even if they were able to then on the add'l load, it is unlikely Congress will allow them to keep most of the profits generated.

My copy of Midnight Sun isn't here yet from B&N! 😡 Is this another USPS delay due to You Know Who?

  • AndreaNRuth
Andrea Caruso (@AndreaNRuth) reported from Arlington, Virginia

@tjb61 I didn’t call Y2K a conspiracy. The word “and” is there. And the USPS issues have been around for years, in the same way the issues surrounding Y2K were and no one gave a **** until it was panic time.

  • djramz_dc
Jason Ramsey (@djramz_dc) reported from Tysons Corner, Virginia

@USPSHelp It arrived for real the next day. This frequently happens with USPS deliveries. The carrier marks then as delivered, but they don’t show up until the next day. It’s very frustrating.

  • Megan_Campbell3
Megan Campbell Wallace (@Megan_Campbell3) reported from Arlington, Virginia

@USPS stop marking our packages as delivered when they are not! So tired of havjng packages “delivered” but arriving the next day. Increasingly an issue with @amazon orders especially.

  • kramiah
kramiah (@kramiah) reported from Arlington, Virginia

@amazon what is your stance on US postal service? Ethically speaking, you should be supportive of keeping USPS open, right?

  • MrDaftPrawn
MrDaftPrawn ❄️ (@MrDaftPrawn) reported from Falls Church, Virginia

@JarOfComics @USPS Completely agree. I have stated that the need to be literate should be a requirement of employment with the postal service too, we regularly have mail go missing or delivered to the wrong address; an address occupied by people who tend to keep that mail. Shocking 🤨

  • AzlanSalims
Saddam A. Salim (@AzlanSalims) reported from Jefferson, Virginia

The law required the Postal Service to prefund its retirees' health benefits up to the year 2056. This is a $5 billion per year cost. USPS received no taxpayers subsidies.

  • meowmeowriah
Mariah Hill (@meowmeowriah) reported from Arlington, Virginia

I saw a USPS driver throw a 3 lane u-turn from the right lane, so obviously, there is NOTHING stopping the postal service.

  • AintNikolai
Ain’t Nikolai (@AintNikolai) reported from Annandale, Virginia

@seancannell Create a USPS administered competitor with a basic service for all American citizens with additional services available for a low fee. #USPS_Modernization

  • weierbach

@littledeekay I only have issue with USPS and getting mail after a hold.

  • SheGlows25
Sheila Mazibuko (@SheGlows25) reported from Arlington, Virginia

@USPS the most horrible service provider ever. Can you refund me already since you failed to deliver a package that was suppose to be delivered in South Africa in December. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

@CurtisCarson50 @PeterSchiff Come back when this actually happens and actually does half of what the USPS is doing now on the last-mile issue right now.

  • atRichalds
    A-Aron Richalds (@atRichalds) reported

@WPXI The increase should be far larger than four cents per stamp. US tax taxpayers subsidize the USPS to the tune of billions of dollars a year. This means that we are also subsidizing every piece of junk mail sent via USPS. Stop subsidizing USPS, raise the stamp price to appropriate levels to stay solvent, problem solved.

  • elbrochacho13
    Iwantmy2dollars (@elbrochacho13) reported

There’s no cash crisis. The USPS isn’t a business. It’s a public service and we should always fully fund it.

  • uptokhalil

USPS > UPS.. them ****** are the worst deliver service on the planet gang I swear

  • dmorgan1773

@USPS Call the listed number at the Columbia, SC office, and you get a recording to leave a message. 8037334643. You might or might not get a return call—time to privatize the postal service.

  • gatoliminal
    🥐 (@gatoliminal) reported

I hate when USPS is out for delivery at 4:40 in the morning, then they leave a note like “We tried to deliver it but you weren’t here! We saw Homeless Man Johnny sleeping on the sidewalk. We’ll try again on July 18th!”

  • WatchSalemNews
    Salem News Channel (@WatchSalemNews) reported

📬 USPS Price Hike Coming The U.S. Postal Service plans to raise first-class mail prices from $0.78 to $0.82 starting July 12, a 4.8% increase. USPS says the change will help offset rising transportation and fuel costs. The agency reported a $1.25 billion quarterly loss in February and warns it could run out of cash within a year. Earlier this week, regulators also approved a temporary 8% price increase for Priority Mail, effective April 26.

@TheOmniZaddy Fedex competes with USPS Bookstores compete with library Indoor playgrounds with parks. It's a different product and service when it has free components. Relax.

  • RTLong46
    Richard Long (@RTLong46) reported

Looking at USPS they still have same problems of delivery on time and to right address. Calling local USPS when we get neighbors mail we have been told “be a good neighbor and take it to your neighbor”. I’m not the one paid to deliver. Thankfully online banking allows direct pay.

  • hippieal
Al Wright (Hippie Al)- Midwest Sports Network (@hippieal) reported

The Postal Service has filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission of mailing services price changes to take effect Sunday, July 12. The new rates include a 4-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp from 78 cents to 82 cents. @USPS @NRLCA
