Because how is @DukeEnergy literally going to sneak a court case so they don’t have to pay us back. **** Duke

@DE_LoganS @DukeEnergy Please help me convince my wife that the lowest comfortable setting is lower than she thinks it is… There is a good reason why God invented silk and wool!

Just got off the phone with Duke Energy. Again! My bill's climbing faster than my hopes for an NFL team in my state. Asked to disconnect surge protection after it failed to save my wallet from a lightning strike worth $40K last year. Their response? "Thanks for being a Duke customer." Really? What am I supposed to say? "Thank you for monopolizing my electric misery?" At this point, I’m convinced their business model is shock therapy for our wallets. No wonder they posted FIVE (5) BILLION dollars profit last year. Keep those data centers coming. As well as being in bed with all of the States Public Utility Commission that regulate them #DukeEnergy #OnlyGameInTown #PowerlessInEverySense

@ForwardCarolina @DukeEnergy Absurd to ask the residential customers to cut back and not businesses. Screw data centers and the excessive power they use, the noise pollution cause, the high temperature output into the environment.

@fredstaffordcs @johnrhanger @DukeEnergy Maybe but that’s how a market works. Same thing happened when all of the NG developers overbuilt in 2004. Key is that we maintain abundance and speed to power.

So let me get this straight, @DukeEnergy just had a $5B record profit quarter, but they want the customers to pay 17% more for their energy to pay for data center energy use? **** that. Whomever owns the data centers need to pay their own utility bills. We’re tapped out.

@DukeEnergy So why did your employee refuse to trim limbs that were sagging on limbs? Why did he laugh when I told him that one of those limbs caused a sparking line to almost hit me on the sidewalk? Why did he tell me he isn't "a lumberjack"?

@Assassalachian @DukeEnergy We got the same request from D*ck last night via e-mail and text for this morning. In Florida, they wouldn't be in this quandary if they had NOT gone for the quick cash grab in taking Progress Energy's reserves set aside for a planned nuclear power plant in Polk County. 🙄
