Outages damn near nightly since we switched to them after leaving @CenturyLink cause their speeds were to slow to stream to @Twitch. Y’all have a LOT of LDE goin on. Should fix that.

  • jessicamae2008
Jessica (@jessicamae2008) reported from Council Bluffs, Iowa

Ya’ll - thought we were making a good decision switching to @CenturyLink 2nd day of no show techs and multiple calls are making that seem like the complete opposite of a good decision. Let’s hope we can get back with @CoxComm and their amazing guest service. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

  • billkirby13
Bill Kirby (@billkirby13) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

Hey @CenturyLinkHelp, there’s a broken cable with bare ends lying in my yard, and the earliest I’ve been told I can get a technician out is in a week. That seems absurd for a downed cable.

  • TinyMomBoss
trina💋 (@TinyMomBoss) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

I’d love to be working on my homework right now, but apparently if you pay your past due balance with @CenturyLink, they have 2-24 hours to reconnect your service. Meanwhile, I’ve been without internet since 2pm and not one person can help me.

  • AshleeCoffeyOWH
🇺🇦🕊Ashlee Coffey 🕊🇺🇦 (@AshleeCoffeyOWH) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

@nmaestas CenturyLink!!! Cox sucks. We had so many problems with them. It was super frustrating. No problems with CL!

  • MikaylaDuarte
Mikayla Duarte (@MikaylaDuarte) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

I don’t wish dealing with CenturyLink customer support on my worst enemy. 18 support call center workers later, I finally got someone to send a technician. It shouldn’t take 3 days and hours of phone calls for this to happen.

  • MattMosser
Matt Mosser (@MattMosser) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

@CenturyLinkHelp can you provide an update on current Omaha outage please.

  • HTrogers
thompson h rogers (@HTrogers) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

@CenturyLink regarding shareholders vote down on CEO compensation: Jeff is a great manager but as a significant shareholder of LEVEL 3 who trusted MGT knew what it was doing only to find it didn’t understand the macro economics of broke Dot Coms.

  • KangShinChul
Chris Riley (@KangShinChul) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

@CenturyLinkHelp It’s also difficult to have internet problems when you don’t even have internet to begin with because the ISP won’t do **** to activate it.

  • pdawnp1
Dawn P (@pdawnp1) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

@CenturyLinkHelp We don't have a problem 🤔🤔 I was just comparing bills. Kinda creepy that you sent me a tweet and you weren't addressed or involved in the conversation!!! Now I do have a problem with that 😳😳 STALKER

  • dwoverdrive
Doug Wright (@dwoverdrive) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

Finally moved on from @CoxComm after being a customer since ‘02. They’ve held all the cards in the #Omaha area for too long an gave the same number of shits about me leaving as they did screwing me for yrs. @CenturyLink internet is less expensive and noticeably faster. No brainer

  • EricDBereuter
Eric Bereuter (@EricDBereuter) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

@CenturyLink A 17 hour internet outage is utterly unacceptable. Especially one with zero explanation or status updates. You’re making Cox look good. (That is NOT a complement for either of you)

  • EricDBereuter
Eric Bereuter (@EricDBereuter) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

@CenturyLink @CenturyLinkHelp I’ve been really hard on you all over the last two days and I owe an apology. I visited the site of the car accident that took out the fiber terminus this morning. The team was working their butts off to get us back in service. 1/2

  • imca20race
Mike Gillespie (@imca20race) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

@CenturyLinkHelp I don’t feel like I should DM you folks and hide the fact that your internet and customer service is far below standards of any American wanting good internet.

  • omaha_scanner
Omaha Scanner (@omaha_scanner) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

A Northeast Precinct officer has been standing by at a down wires call for 4.5 hours. The wires were determined to be @CenturyLink who "refuse to respond." @omahapublicwrks answering service was contacted for barricades but still have not shown up. #OmahaScanner #WastedResources

  • YM_CG

@CenturyLink transitioning to @quantumfiber is not going well at all. My service has now been suspended for non-payment which was on auto pay. My CenturyLink account has been canceled and my account with Quantum is not active either. My Internet provider canceled me.

  • robleathern
    Rob Leathern (@robleathern) reported

@uwukko If you’re using your ISP’s or carrier’s DNS servers, they can see every domain you look up. ECH doesn’t help with that at all. For ECH to actually hide your destinations, you need the full stack: 1.Encrypted DNS (DoH or DoT) pointed at a third-party resolver like Cloudflare (1.1.1.1), Google (8.8.8.8), Quad9, etc. 2.ECH support in your browser 3.ECH support on the website If any of those are missing, there’s a leak. Using your carrier’s default DNS is the most common gap—they see every query in plaintext, By default, all three major US carriers use their own DNS servers when you’re on their cellular network. Your phone automatically receives the carrier’s DNS server addresses via DHCP when it connects. The major home ISPs use their own DNS servers by default, and queries are unencrypted. Spectrum (Charter), Comcast/Xfinity, AT&T Fiber/Internet, Verizon Fios, Cox, CenturyLink/Lumen. The pattern is universal: ISPs provide their DNS as the default because it’s useful for them.

@CenturyLink why does it take a billion freakin years to get crap done?

  • ravirockks
    Ravi Nayyar (@ravirockks) reported

'The firm says its solutions are used by service providers, enterprises and critical infrastructure organizations. Its website lists BT, Verizon, Deutsche Telekom, CenturyLink, TalkTalk, Softbank, and Tata as its customers, along with the US Department of Defense and [LA].

  • dinarlvr
    no name (@dinarlvr) reported

@DerrickEvans4WV CenturyLink has a filter that gets rid of 99.9% of those calls. Those are robo dialers and the AI catches them and makes them manually enter the number they're trying to call. We get maybe 1 of those robo calls a month. Usually let it go to VM and they hang up.

@CenturyLink You have the worst customer service around! No human communication- everything on line. And you go and change the domain for your internet access and your directions don’t seem to work even for highly trained individuals. Thanks but no thanks! So sad!

  • AaronBabyar

Hey @quantumfiber … when Internet suddenly gets shut off at the same time I get an email from @CenturyLink canceling my service you have a problem. When I call both offices and you both point fingers at each other rather than solving it, you have a bigger problem.

  • clendob45
    Clendob45 (@clendob45) reported

@CenturyLink Hi Megan @CenturyLink, I already canceled my service and switched providers, but if I choose to come back to QuantumFiber/CenturyLink, I'll definitely send a DM. Thanks for the reply.
