Chris Riley (@KangShinChul) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

@CenturyLinkHelp It’s also difficult to have internet problems when you don’t even have internet to begin with because the ISP won’t do **** to activate it.

Yo @CenturyLink! Love your internet service, but your customer service is sucking my will to live!! I’m transferring service to a new address but ya’ll killed my existing service over a week too soon! Six phone calls to your tech/customer support & still not fixed. #makeitright

  • imca20race
Mike Gillespie (@imca20race) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

@CenturyLinkHelp I don’t feel like I should DM you folks and hide the fact that your internet and customer service is far below standards of any American wanting good internet.

  • EricDBereuter
Eric Bereuter (@EricDBereuter) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

@CenturyLink A 17 hour internet outage is utterly unacceptable. Especially one with zero explanation or status updates. You’re making Cox look good. (That is NOT a complement for either of you)

  • MikaylaDuarte
Mikayla Duarte (@MikaylaDuarte) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

I don’t wish dealing with CenturyLink customer support on my worst enemy. 18 support call center workers later, I finally got someone to send a technician. It shouldn’t take 3 days and hours of phone calls for this to happen.

  • dwoverdrive
Doug Wright (@dwoverdrive) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

Finally moved on from @CoxComm after being a customer since ‘02. They’ve held all the cards in the #Omaha area for too long an gave the same number of shits about me leaving as they did screwing me for yrs. @CenturyLink internet is less expensive and noticeably faster. No brainer

  • bsneville
Brennan Neville (@bsneville) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

On a scale of 1 to “war crime”, CenturyLink’s customer service is about 9.2.

  • tourdefranz

@mr_mustash @CenturyLink They call it The Clink because you're locked in and there's nothing they can do to help. But for real @CenturyLinkHelp please do something

  • TinyMomBoss
trina💋 (@TinyMomBoss) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

I’d love to be working on my homework right now, but apparently if you pay your past due balance with @CenturyLink, they have 2-24 hours to reconnect your service. Meanwhile, I’ve been without internet since 2pm and not one person can help me.

  • raygoestweet
RAY III (@raygoestweet) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

@CenturyLinkHelp I've actually already switched to cox and activated my service with them! Will be cancelling with you tomorrow. They are up and running without issue unlike your company that doesn't care about my livelihood that is internet dependent

  • omaha_scanner
Omaha Scanner (@omaha_scanner) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

A Northeast Precinct officer has been standing by at a down wires call for 4.5 hours. The wires were determined to be @CenturyLink who "refuse to respond." @omahapublicwrks answering service was contacted for barricades but still have not shown up. #OmahaScanner #WastedResources

  • n_e_b_u_l_o_u_s
Grant (@n_e_b_u_l_o_u_s) reported from Omaha, Nebraska

    Anne the Ambivalent (@0ndineAnne) reported

@CenturyLink Century is now cut off from auto billing from my account. I even went to a corporate AT&T which bought CenturyLink in 2-26 and they couldn’t or wouldn’t help.

  • mvalsmith
    Val Smith (@mvalsmith) reported

A fact many people don't know. Los Alamos, home of the Manhattan project, has 1990's business telecom infrastructure. I'm getting 52 kB/s from my lab to my house which is about 5 miles away. Its not the providers, its the physical infrastructure. We lose telephone / internet when it rains or just randomly frequently. If anyone tries to invest and implement better infrastructure, Centurylink / Lumen / whatever its name is this week sends 50 guys to shout them down in county council meetings and intimidate everyone. The place with the highest per capital PhDs in the world and the craziest futuristic tech, has the worst telecom infrastructure. (Yes I got a starlink)

  • 1nfoSecBen
    InfoSec Ben (@1nfoSecBen) reported

@CenturyLink @huskeractuary I’m sure you’re a lovely person Divya, but at this point, I think my time would be better spent organizing a GoFundMe for @quantumfiber to help get you guys some competent network engineers. FYI - service IS STILL DOWN in West Omaha.

  • filthypatriot
    Filthy Patriot (@filthypatriot) reported

@CenturyLink Hey @quantumfiber @ATT Centurylink says this is your fault. Your tech support keeps telling me it is Centurylink. ATT bought my libes from Centurylink. Att has some type of cap on my fiber service. Care to fix it so I receive the service I pay for?

  • silkt0ad
    silk toad (@silkt0ad) reported

@quantumfiber I was forced to switch from CenturyLink to this by you all and now my WiFi doesn’t work at all. The customer support lines are all clogged up or down. Please help me.

  • robleathern
    Rob Leathern (@robleathern) reported

@uwukko If you’re using your ISP’s or carrier’s DNS servers, they can see every domain you look up. ECH doesn’t help with that at all. For ECH to actually hide your destinations, you need the full stack: 1.Encrypted DNS (DoH or DoT) pointed at a third-party resolver like Cloudflare (1.1.1.1), Google (8.8.8.8), Quad9, etc. 2.ECH support in your browser 3.ECH support on the website If any of those are missing, there’s a leak. Using your carrier’s default DNS is the most common gap—they see every query in plaintext, By default, all three major US carriers use their own DNS servers when you’re on their cellular network. Your phone automatically receives the carrier’s DNS server addresses via DHCP when it connects. The major home ISPs use their own DNS servers by default, and queries are unencrypted. Spectrum (Charter), Comcast/Xfinity, AT&T Fiber/Internet, Verizon Fios, Cox, CenturyLink/Lumen. The pattern is universal: ISPs provide their DNS as the default because it’s useful for them.

  • mike_schear
    Mike Schear (@mike_schear) reported

@CenturyLink day 5 of my service not working and once again all you did was to tell me to contact quantum, who again told me they can't help me since I haven't had their service installed. I pay you for service as do multiple neighbors of mine and we are all having issues.

  • berniew07
    Bernie White (@berniew07) reported

@CenturyLink Trying to move my mother’s phone service from her townhome to her ALF. “Daniel” said that CenturyLink doesn’t provide phone service to the facility. Both the facility and fiber service provider told me that ONLY CenturyLink provides phone service to the facility

  • ITRonnieOnnie

@CenturyLink why does it take a billion freakin years to get crap done?

  • 037LAW
    037 (@037LAW) reported

@BidensDirtyDypr @0xdippo @Starlink We were using microwave RF fixed wireless internet, getting 25 mbps down/5 up. Before that was CenturyLink DSL rarely above 2.0 mbps. We tried HughesNet, and it was abysmal. With Starlink, we're consistently over 100 mbps at 35ms, for the same price as microwave fixed wireless.
