But I’m mostly concerned because, as you can see, there are no stamp/mailing marks on the envelope and this was dropped off at a USPS office… suggesting to me that the loss occurred at the USPS office. 😡Can we find this out?

The USPS is restricted by Congress on the type of services it can offer, the prices it can charge. It is mandated to provide universal service, delivering mail to every address in the US. Federal law requires USPS to fully fund its retiree health benefits and pension obligations. This has caused the USPS to run an operatonal deficit regardless.
