Wendy Adams 🇺🇲🦅💙 (@wendyadams) reported@TaraSetmayer @StateFarm Im so sorry this is happening to you and your family. Quite frankly, we are so tired of the scam of the insurance and medical professions. Enough is enough. Please hire an attorney. Sue them. Create a class action. We all know you aren't the only one kicked in the teeth.

BowTiedRestore (@BowTiedRestore) reported@TaraSetmayer @StateFarm Likely based on your contract/policy with StateFarm it was your responsibility to mitigate for further damages - its painful that in your area you couldn't connect with a reputable water damage restoration business that is honest and could guide you through your claim process. It is true most property insurance companies nowadays are harder to work with, but with a competent property restoration partner, sometimes with a good PA and rarely with a decent lawyer you ALWAYS WIN. I agree that it shouldn't be this way. I agree that no carrier is "a good neighbor" or "by your side" or "in good hands". Very sorry for your losses. 🙏

Fred (@Fred9025227577) reported@StateFarm @TaraSetmayer Why private message? So you can hide your fraud and misdeeds from everyone else? If she wants to deal with it publicly on here, you should engage her publicly, so we can all see what pieces of **** you are.

TheEmpress (@LeslieFleury9) reported@TaraSetmayer @StateFarm Nationwide is not on your side either. You make payments for decades and when you wanna make one small claim, they won't cover it and then they'll cancel you for making a claim. You get punished by insurance after paying them for years.

BeckhamDtrain (@BeckhamDtrain) reported@StateFarm really said “we value your input” just to ignore it completely. Asked for comps, used none of them, lowballed the offer, and shut down every attempt to review or escalate. That’s not customer service—that’s avoidance #statefarm #lowballers #insurancenightmare

Princess Shuri of Wakanda (@2DeCee) reported@TaraSetmayer @StateFarm Omg I am so sorry to hear this! Spread it far and wide- what a scam!

BowTiedRestore (@BowTiedRestore) reported@TaraSetmayer @StateFarm You are likely misinformed. You can DM me the policy - we do hundreds of StateFarm claims and all their policies are standard - we are NOT a preferred vendor. Ideally insurance will be there in sudden and accidental property losses and offer assurance along the way while also protecting their own investors interests. We can now tell with 98% certainty if a loss will be covered or not. - If loss is covered, we mitigate further damages, bill the carrier and get paid (not as fast and as easy as 10 years ago, they always find ways to delay and pay less - sometimes unethical). Most of the times on the repair side the homeowner is shorthanded by SF and we recommend options - so far only a handful of claims needed lawyers. Homeowners always WIN with our documentation. -If loss is likely to not be covered, we stabilize for a reasonable time 7days max typically for an adjuster to determine coverage. If no coverage, we provide the homeowner with a out of pocket estimate for mitigation/repair, we waive the stabilization charges to help them out - about 20% of the time we continue and help the homeowner, but most of the time homeowner has somebody else - a lot of this times the homeownercomes clean and tells us he knew about the long term damage and feels stupid now for not doing anything about it. We do restoration after ServPro or Service Master or other TPA (program vendors) who are NOT experts in property restoration and always wait and do what the adjusters are demanding, most of the time not in the best interest of the homeowner. Almost always the homeowner dropped the ball, was not correctly informed about their responsibilities, the damages are now huge (in Georgia we get mold very fast) and is very hard to make the case of carrier bad faith. We still win a decent amount of this claims with proper PA, very detailed documentation and rarely lawyer. BEWARE, most lawyers will lie that they can help you when they know this cases have less than 20% chance of success. You can DM a link with all your documentation and I can give you honest feedback.

soylentia (@soylentia) reported@TaraSetmayer @StateFarm I’d been with them for 23 years when I had the first claim, and they left me stranded in another state for a weekend. So shocked I would dump them after I finally found a way home. They were definitely NOT there.

SortaRican 🇵🇷 (@KCSortaRican) reportedI had @StateFarm insurance for over 20 years and never once had a single issue. They took care of me when I had any claims. Switched to @USAA in November to try and save and it has been an unmitigated disaster since the first week. Bait and switch on rates right after switching.
