@StateFarm Like a good neighbor State Farm is there? Yeah ******* right. I have been trying to reach someone about my account for 2 days. If this were an emergency I would be screwed. All my calls/messages straight go to a computer and I never get a representative.

FUUUUUCK @StateFarm Long story. I had auto for decades because my dad had them, insured two houses with them then was dropped because I filed too many claims. NOT that they paid, because they sent me the list and one was a claim because they didn't pay a prior roof claim.

@TaraSetmayer @StateFarm Likely based on your contract/policy with StateFarm it was your responsibility to mitigate for further damages - its painful that in your area you couldn't connect with a reputable water damage restoration business that is honest and could guide you through your claim process. It is true most property insurance companies nowadays are harder to work with, but with a competent property restoration partner, sometimes with a good PA and rarely with a decent lawyer you ALWAYS WIN. I agree that it shouldn't be this way. I agree that no carrier is "a good neighbor" or "by your side" or "in good hands". Very sorry for your losses. 🙏

@TaraSetmayer @Out5p0ken @StateFarm Im so sorry. I had State Farm from the time I was 16 until 45, when they canceled my homeowners for a burst pipe claim. So I know how you feel, but with the added insult that we pay the highest insurance rates in the country here in Oklahoma.

@TaraSetmayer @StateFarm We suffered water damage from a pipe in January & we're still fighting for American Family Insurance to pay the full repair costs. They just want to browbeat you into submission by insisting it doesn't cost what it costs to make repairs. It's infuriating! 🤬🤬

@TaraSetmayer @StateFarm I’m so sorry. Insurance companies are the ultimate rip off. They collect & collect & when you need them they don’t pay, raise your rates or drop you completely. I’ve tried to get a$100 refund from them for 5 years & they keep making it out to my dead father. They’re horrible.

@TaraSetmayer @StateFarm Did you hire a claims adjuster?

@TaraSetmayer @Acosta @StateFarm Every state is diff, but getting the insurance comm involved as early as possible is the way to go. In most states, they are required to respond to the comissioner by a deadline to prevent the intentional delays and co try to avoid dealing with comm.

@TaraSetmayer @StateFarm That insurance company spends alot more money on advertising than payout it seems. I have stayed away from a few insurers because of word of mouth complaints.

@TaraSetmayer @StateFarm I thought you couldn’t DM someone if you are not mutual follows. That happened to me when I received the same response from another company

@tom_mallory @TaraSetmayer @StateFarm But possibly effective. I got some big time help with a cellphone company on here. Not because I have a following but because the customer service on here was able to cut through the snag I had.

@TaraSetmayer @Acosta @StateFarm Did you try hiring an independent adjuster? That’s the only way I got my claim through. They aren’t paid up front. I hope you can resolve this.
