Our rep was a sweetheart who liked us, plus we had the roofer already here to make sure everything was kosher. You all may have to hire a public adjuster to fight them. A lady close to me did and got top dollar for her roof. The adjuster takes, IDK, 15% or less (you can haggle with them). I'm sorry you're going through this. It's a SOB.

Did you contact your State Insurance Commissioner? Did you get an attorney? This is devastating! A valid claim is recognized by the perils covered under the policy. Period!
