Brian Doyle (@TheMasterDS) reported from Euless, TexasI haven’t had power since 4 AM last night, this is ******. I blame @oncor but I also blame apartment complexes for not shelling out for backup power in case of emergency. I hope the money yall saved by not doing that is blown by damages to the pools that just froze over!
-
Kendrick Perry (@kperry1911) reported from City of Irving, Texas@oncor No power since 4:21 am. There were 2 outtages that each lasted about 20 min. Now it has been over 7 hours. #rolling?

-
Brian Doyle (@TheMasterDS) reported from Euless, Texas@oncor after 18 hours without power I had power for 2 hours. It’s back off again, how do I know if you’re doing a rolling blackout and I’m not just going to be in the dark for another 18 hours? Is this now properly scheduled? This new blackout started at 12:58.
-
Scott Orr (@scottorr300) reported from Coppell, Texas@FSAnwarTX Same here in Coppell. We had power for 1 hour at about 5 pm then lost it again. No power for >16 hours now. Camping out by the fireplace tonight. The rest of the house will be sub 50 degrees by morning. This isn’t sustainable. Not a fan of @ERCOT_ISO and @oncor right now. 😡

Brian Doyle (@TheMasterDS) reported from Euless, Texas@oncor Part of capitalism is trying to do things for less money, and as a result very brittle systems are built with no redundancies because that’s how you get a tiny bit more profit out of it. We need robust systems that can handle disasters, there’s going to be a lot more of them.
-
