Wow, @oncor & @ERCOT_ISO In a @FOX4 article, “Oncor says its focus is shortening the length of time the additional rolling outages still to come. ‘Our goal is for them to not last as long as they have,’ Dunn said. You mean like 22 hours? How about RESTORING power??

  • janetstjames
Janet St. James (@janetstjames) reported from Grapevine, Texas

@chrisgailus @oncor Sure wish I had a ballpark about the #power. We sure don’t seem to be part of any #rollingblackout #SnowStorm2021

  • TheMasterDS
Brian Doyle (@TheMasterDS) reported from Euless, Texas

@oncor Part of capitalism is trying to do things for less money, and as a result very brittle systems are built with no redundancies because that’s how you get a tiny bit more profit out of it. We need robust systems that can handle disasters, there’s going to be a lot more of them.

  • MickeyOprea

When you only have power for 3 hours in a day in single digit degree weather... Enough is enough! @oncor

@rangergrl71 I don’t know @oncor, is it every 15-45 mins? Or in some people’s case, power off every 8 hours?

  • scottorr300
Scott Orr (@scottorr300) reported from Coppell, Texas

@FSAnwarTX Same here in Coppell. We had power for 1 hour at about 5 pm then lost it again. No power for >16 hours now. Camping out by the fireplace tonight. The rest of the house will be sub 50 degrees by morning. This isn’t sustainable. Not a fan of @ERCOT_ISO and @oncor right now. 😡

  • TheMasterDS
Brian Doyle (@TheMasterDS) reported from Euless, Texas

@oncor after 18 hours without power I had power for 2 hours. It’s back off again, how do I know if you’re doing a rolling blackout and I’m not just going to be in the dark for another 18 hours? Is this now properly scheduled? This new blackout started at 12:58.

  • TheMasterDS
Brian Doyle (@TheMasterDS) reported from Euless, Texas

I haven’t had power since 4 AM last night, this is ******. I blame @oncor but I also blame apartment complexes for not shelling out for backup power in case of emergency. I hope the money yall saved by not doing that is blown by damages to the pools that just froze over!

  • conceptress
Keleigh Milliorn (@conceptress) reported from Grapevine, Texas

@j24marianne @oncor Are you serious? You have solar panels and can't get power from them??

  • Cano808
Jason Cano (@Cano808) reported from Irving, Texas

@Spyder2K1 @oncor @ERCOT_ISO Didn’t a spokesperson for Griddy advise all of its customers to leave immediately to avoid this? Almost like the weatherman saying, “A very dangerous winter storm will be here next week”

@grandecom learn something from @oncor. I called earlier tonight and had to go through hoops just for your system to tell me that there was an outage. Yes I knew that. I call Oncor, that’s the first they tell me, no hoops. Fix your system, please.

@oncor, my power has been out since 6 pm. With no Eta. I've been living in this area since July 2022 & every other month it's power outages for hours at a time. What's really going on????

  • thagataman
    kDot_lamar_G8s (@thagataman) reported

@oncor How quickly is that? This ticket was put in yesterday, so I guess y'all are waiting for something to be damaged or somebody to be hurt before it becomes priority? Or maybe you're waiting for a fire to start back up so the fire department can handle it? This **** is unacceptable.
