@KarenJutkiewicz @IRSnews For mailed Federal returns, the IRS generally advises allowing at least 6–8 weeks for processing, and in some cases it may take longer depending on mail handling and processing backlogs. The “Where’s My Refund” system will only show a status once the return has been received.

@TheNFTCPA @shl @IRStaxpros the IRS built their system for individual taxpayers. a CPA filing 300 P'Ship extensions has the same manual overhead the system was designed for 300 individual filers. the problem isn't that the tech is hard. nobody designed for the practitioner use case

@IRSnews I don't understand why my refund is being held possibly 60 days or more for review. We didn't even idemize. It shouldn't take that long. It's ok to withhold my money but when you guys want it you want it now. Our tax dollars are being stolen and I can't even get my return.
