Across the street had power, my side didn't, but the block behind us did, but the block ahead of us didn't have power on one side only. We lost the food in our fridge we bought for the storm.

Is it because of above-ground vs underground power supply? Our friends in Michigan don’t ever seems to have the same power outages.
