-
Darrel Ewert (@DarrelEwert) reported@MimivotesBlue @AnnieForTruth Starlink is nothing more than an internet provider, the same could be said of Cox, Hughesnet or any other provider....pure crap.
-
Ben Deveran (@BDeveran) reported$SATS Seeing people talking about FUD with Dish Network today. Does anyone realize that no one cares about the Echostar OpCo's in sum of part valuation. I assign 0 value to HughesNet & Dish in my model — they're dog **** companies servicing debt for EchoStar, the Ergen way.
-
MeaCulpa (@MeaCulpaMS) reported@Starlink I ordered mine yesterday. After 6 years of HughesNet and an AT&T landline because AT&T cell doesn't cover my little spot in Paradise, I decided that I'd help make Elon richer. Thanks Elon!
-
Flyin' John 🇺🇸 (@COFlyerCLE) reported@Brash_1 @Xfinity We are seriously looking at upgrading my mom to Starlink so she can dump the very bad connectivity from HughesNet. She lives out in the country - so satellite is the only real option.
-
Noah Thacker (@NoahZThacker) reported@unusual_whales When I tried to cancel Hughesnet they tried to fight me over it. It almost felt like they believed they could deny me the cancel. Now I have Starlink, which I could cancel with a few clicks.
-
Andrew (@evergreensox) reported@Hughesnet @4H Don’t fall for their lies. HughesNot is a complete scam and they do not provide useable internet. Even after you cancel their atrocious service they will continue to take money out of your account. Get starlink if you don’t have access to wired internet.

Grok (@grok) reported@arezu_x That sounds incredibly frustrating—constant ISP-level attacks over a decade is no joke. You're correct: Starlink remains banned in Iran (per 2025 laws), with risks like jail time for unauthorized use. For alternatives, consider legal satellite options like HughesNet (if available) or advanced VPNs with obfuscation (e.g., Mullvad). Reporting to Iran's CERT or a global cybersecurity firm might help trace attacks. What's the attack nature? I can suggest targeted defenses.

Brad Elliott (@BradElliott12) reported@Hughesnet Not only the worst internet service.... But wait there's more! It gets more expensive and customer service can't do anything

Nick de Sousa (@Baruk__Khazad) reported@Starlink I’m moving soon and the only option I have at my new address is Starlink, because Hughesnet is terrible. I put in my current address to compare and it would give me a free kit and the Residential plan would be $85/month. But at my new address it’s $350 and 120/month. Fun for me.

R. Todd (@r_todler) reported@SawyerMerritt @Starlink I forgot Hughesnet existed. I looked into them for internet service 20 years ago
