  @Hughesnet My Internet is down, and your tech support said it's due to scheduled maintenance. Why now? Why not overnight? Why were they unable to give an estimate on when it will be restored? Why isn't it posted on X or the HughesNet app? Do better!

  Trying to disconnect from @Hughesnet is taking an act of congress. I have called 3 times to Disconnect, in my second hour on this call. Each call has been 3 hrs and no one ever shows up. Get your crap together… is there anyone even there? They will take your money though.

  @bananacrusher69 @kam1416651 @Matt_Lowne Define crap latency. In the past ten or so years, StarLink has been the only provider I've had with <100ms latency. The others were AT&T DSL, ViaSat, and HughesNet. There are no fiber nor cable providers in my area.

  @MarioNawfal This is what happens when a company stops thinking quarter to quarter and starts thinking decade to decade. Hughesnet wasn’t a bad product, it was just built for a different world. Starlink arrived with a different mindset, different pace, different ceiling. And the market always rewards the one that refuses to play small. Sometimes dominance isn’t loud, it’s a slow tightening until the only logical move left is surrender.

  @BasedClarenceT @BradMunchen Entirely depends on your use case. If you're rich, need high performance, and have a constant source of electricity, sure. HughesNet is a more affordable, reliable, with greater availability, lower maintenance & energy costs, and better durability with actual customer service

  @muskonomy Don’t discredit the HughesNet family. They did a huge service for customers when nobody else was. HughesNet will have their place in the history books. Starlink however, is a whole different animal.
