  • Jeff_Sharon

I’ll say one thing: @OviedoCityGov and @DukeEnergy need to do a much better job of mitigating power line obstruction around town from trees before storms. All along 434 north of downtown, branches are wrapped around wires. No wonder we’re still without power here.

@Trigga_Riley @DukeEnergy Credit on something. We pay way too much for power and they should not have outages. Especially when it’s 100 degrees outside

@NC_Governor Wow Captain Obvious is trying anyway possible to get brownie points with anyone left who may be stupid enough to support him. We’ve been screaming for years we don’t want our power bills to go up at the hand of millionaire Lynn Good with her finance degree while @DukeEnergy makes everyone in the state sick! But all of our power bills just went up and he’ll still fight like hell to get these data centers behind our backs. It’s just how he and ol Cooper are!

  • timeflies42
    Keep Smiling (@timeflies42) reported

@will_doran This is ridiculous. We need to vote these legislators out and vote officials in that will protect NCians instead of corporations like @DukeEnergy willing to pay legislators to bilk billions from their own customers.

  • ss_scmb

Dear @DukeEnergy No I will not turn my heat down to conserve energy. You have hit us for increase after increase to cover the cost for all the data centers and now you want to threaten me with rolling blackouts in 23 degree weather.

@DukeEnergy I really want to know how this past weekend, we used more energy that we normally do and we weren’t even home. Help me make sense of this…

  • crankertweaker
    The BEASTWRANGLER (@crankertweaker) reported

Just got off the phone with Duke Energy. Again! My bill's climbing faster than my hopes for an NFL team in my state. Asked to disconnect surge protection after it failed to save my wallet from a lightning strike worth $40K last year. Their response? "Thanks for being a Duke customer." Really? What am I supposed to say? "Thank you for monopolizing my electric misery?" At this point, I’m convinced their business model is shock therapy for our wallets. No wonder they posted FIVE (5) BILLION dollars profit last year. Keep those data centers coming. As well as being in bed with all of the States Public Utility Commission that regulate them #DukeEnergy #OnlyGameInTown #PowerlessInEverySense
