@cockyfaithful2 @DukeEnergy We had a company quote us $75k and it would have plugged into our power company line. I asked the sales guy "why would I pay $75k to then still lose power if the power company goes out?" He goes "well you'll be saving money in 20 years."

. @DukeEnergy getting bad wraps for their mass texts about reducing energy during the cold snap. The message was correct, the LANGUAGE was wrong. Heat pumps take 300+% more energy to go from 35F to 65F than AC takes to go from 95F to 75F… explain it more clearly.

Holy crap, @DukeEnergy, my electric bill is over 75% not electricity!!! WTF?!!! My bill is $193.40 and only $42.19 is actual electric used, the rest is a slew of miscellaneous charges or “riders” as you like to call them. Y’all need to straighten your **** out. This is gouging.
