@JBeaverton @DukeEnergy The Public Service Commission (PSC) is who approves rate hikes and you’re right, they just approved rate increases for Duke, TECO, and FPL. All PSC members are appointed by the Governor and get six figure salaries.

@chrisgent @DukeEnergy If I had to guess, teams are probably still assessing damage to the power lines (etc) in certain areas and that might be why there hasn’t been a lot of communication to customers. All I can say is they called in extra people to help get power back on.

Is this inflationary pressure, or the direct effect of conflict? I don’t have a big house (2700sq ft) and my bill has been within $115-135 a month for Gas and Power (Electricity) and look at this month. Gas is used for heating & hot water heater. My home always stays at 65 degrees Fahrenheit in day & 62 at night. @DukeEnergy @PiedmontNG what’s the reason of this hike?
