mason wy (@masonwy82336031) reported@GirthBrooks034 @scwatched @Ask_Spectrum It could be both it’s some kind of security protocol that constantly checks your device causing your IP to jump around.. basically impossible to have a stable IP it’s some kind of setting idk I’m not the biggest tech savvy guy but have been experiencing this personally. Apex NEEDS a stable IP or it’s just utter dog **** to play. Sole reason I switched to altafiber and haven’t had a single issue since.

mason wy (@masonwy82336031) reported@scwatched @Ask_Spectrum It’s the routers spectrum use my stepdad works for spectrum he said it themselves. It’s a security setting on the router where it’s constantly verifying your connection, hence impossible to have a stable IP. If you have more than 4 devices connected to the router it’ll happen. I called once and a good representative fixed it but then moved houses and had to a get a new router and the problem popped back up. Never could convince another representative to fix it so I switched to altafiber.

Tyler Gee (@atgee01) reported@Wrightreportt Had @GetSpectrum for years before 2018. Made the switch because they wouldn’t budge and give me a promo discount. @altafiber gives me the promo rate and their service seems more solid. Just wish they had a better app.

Aaron D. Williams (@Aaron_Williams) reported@GetSpectrum Another day of no connectivity and poor/terrible communication about progress. @altafiber hello?
-
Grace Krueger (@GraniaHillCLE) reported@altafiber can you tell us when the outage in Pendleton County KY will be resolved?
-
Mike Scott (@MikeScottPXP) reportedI decided to try @TMobile 5G internet. They sent me a gateway with a broken power cable. @TMobileHelp can’t send me a new cable without a PIN code. I can’t get a PIN code because my gateway won’t turn on. Around & around we go. @altafiber , you win via gross incompetence

Steve Nixon (@snixon) reportedYet another example of absolutely piss-poor service from @altafiber. You had a crew working for hours in our building and knocked us offline then left saying service would be back soon. Three hours later nothing. Now have to wait for a tech to come out tomorrow . You guys suck.

Doug Gray (@dougdirt24) reported@theUniverssays @Wrightreportt @altafiber Oh there is definitely some rate creep. My bill just went up $15 two months ago because my "introductory price" expired. But I've never had a single problem with Altafiber/Cincinnati Bell as far as service or speeds that a restart of the modem didn't fix.
