Lynnae Bouma (@lynnae_bouma) reported from Minnetonka, Minnesota

@CenturyLink I scheduled an appointment for Saturday, November 9, yet you take it upon yourself to reschedule it to today when I am not home. There is a reason I scheduled it for Saturday. Bad customer service.

  • dansteeves68

Old Apple TV plus old TV plus wireless plus Centurylink gigabit fiber fail in the middle of Harry Potter 2. Impossible to determine culprit. Annoying first world problem.

So @CenturyLink reporting internet outage continues in our area - thats 24 plus hours. According to an outage map it looks small, but is that accurate ? It’s 12 hours after they said it would be fixed . Not an encouraging sign as this is first day of distance learning for many.

  • ClaireRightHere

@BlizzardCS You May wish to check the forums. Many users complaining of high latency on #centurylink. Issue starts at the #level3 backbone in Chicago.

Two hours of trying to order a stupid modem from @CenturyLink and they still couldn’t do figure it out. #worstcustomerservice

@CenturyLink so if I am on autopay and get a new card you shut down my account immediately (because a new expiration date) instead of calling to say there's a problem....... do I get something when you **** up like this???

  • esmemurphy
esme murphy (@esmemurphy) reported from Golden Valley, Minnesota

Uggg- @CenturyLink is reporting an internet outage in our area (again) internet service will be restored by 9PM- not sure how widespread it is - timing not ideal on the eve of kids and teachers returning to a lot of online schoolwork

  • railfan2007
Jameson GloebJohnson (@railfan2007) reported from Plymouth, Minnesota

@effjayyy @comcast I need it for work - no one else has decent down or upload speeds. It’s Comcast or Centurylink, and the infrastructure here is too old for CL to be fast enough.

@EMBurlingame I just switched to @ATT wireless, because @CenturyLink is so bad. Their customer service is atrocious, to say the least. Bundled the new wi-fi with my phone. Saving almost $20.00 a month.

  • G16283
    Evans (@G16283) reported

@ATT The same slow internet issue (<20Mbps) occurred in the zip code 89179 on 3/7 and 3/8/26 between 7pm and 10pm. That makes it four days. There are many complaints posted on Next door and other social sites. #QuantumFiber #CenturyLink

@uwukko If you’re using your ISP’s or carrier’s DNS servers, they can see every domain you look up. ECH doesn’t help with that at all. For ECH to actually hide your destinations, you need the full stack: 1.Encrypted DNS (DoH or DoT) pointed at a third-party resolver like Cloudflare (1.1.1.1), Google (8.8.8.8), Quad9, etc. 2.ECH support in your browser 3.ECH support on the website If any of those are missing, there’s a leak. Using your carrier’s default DNS is the most common gap—they see every query in plaintext, By default, all three major US carriers use their own DNS servers when you’re on their cellular network. Your phone automatically receives the carrier’s DNS server addresses via DHCP when it connects. The major home ISPs use their own DNS servers by default, and queries are unencrypted. Spectrum (Charter), Comcast/Xfinity, AT&T Fiber/Internet, Verizon Fios, Cox, CenturyLink/Lumen. The pattern is universal: ISPs provide their DNS as the default because it’s useful for them.

Wtf @quantumfiber - you took over for CenturyLink and now I have no internet and a tech is coming out in 4 days?' This is unacceptable and needs to be fixed today. Airbnb smart locks, work tomorrow, etc. What kind of business is this?

  • LibertyLes83864
    Nutcracker (@LibertyLes83864) reported

@CenturyLink Thanks, Kriti. CS techs were powerless (NOT AI). It was the field techs who canceled every time because the issue was not at the residence. They just didn't notify ME it would take a week. They text my phone to CALL THEM. 100 minutes with the same troubleshooting AI & hang up.

  • 0ndineAnne
    Anne the Ambivalent (@0ndineAnne) reported

@CenturyLink I got a new ISP because CenturyLink was overcharging me on price for life. I’m unable to contact anyone by phone or online to cancel CenturyLink. How do I send back your equipment? Tell me how I can cancel and get boxes to send your equipment back.

  • KDG1H
KOODA (@KDG1H) reported from Denver, Colorado

Again ANOTHER DAY of my INTERNET being out thanks to @XfinitySupport @Xfinity - lost $$ from today, currently NO TIME ESTIMATE for services back on. TRIED to contact support to CANCEL so I can have @CenturyLink come install their stuff. Can't get ahold of someone due to the "outage" AI bullshit.
