AEP Ohio Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Patriot PAC (@PACPatriot) reported@AEPOhio @GovMikeDeWine Thousands of central Ohioans are out of power going on 24 hours now because it’s cheaper for AEP to pay crews overtime for a short period over a few days than it is to proactively maintain their network while charging customers millions.
-
zark muckerburg (@ZarkM73822) reported@AEPOhio Power has been out for 12 hours in millersport, oh with no estimate. So glad I pay you such high fees. Calling my state rep in the morning
-
Kacy Sager (@THESagerbomb) reportedBeen driving around all day (since our house is 55° without power) and haven’t seen a single @AEPOhio truck out anywhere. Makes me think they are WOEFULLY understaffed and underprepared and that no one is even in our area yet. 23 hours without an update.
-
SF West1 (@FLSWesterville) reportedIt's ridiculous that people are still waiting for their power to be restored in Columbus, Johnstown, and New Albany when the data centers are buzzing without a problem. Raised the rates to the working people/customers for upgrades to infrastructure and this is it? @AEPOhio
-
Pervis Strockweiler (@strockweiler) reported@AEPOhio 70mph? No one anywhere was reporting 70 mile an hour winds as a possibility. Except AEP Ohio. Nothing like exaggerating by a factor of three in order to cover your ***. Maybe improve the grid. And you wouldn’t have to lie to set expectations for power outages.
-
Dan Caron (@dcaron58) reported@AEPOhio How about giving updates on your website?? 43082 out of power since 4 and not one update anywhere to be found. Cmon. I know you’re busy but be better.
-
Beth Philley (@beth_philley) reported@limitlessmp3 @AEPOhio If you're not aware, you can go to their website and click on an interactive map to get an approximate time of restoration and possibly a cause for the outage.
-
🌈Jessica🌈☎️🎉 (@Jelli11) reported@AEPOhio is out of their minds thinking I'm going to pay a surcharge to power Meta's AI compute when it's 18 degrees out and I don't have power
-
Holl Oates (@HollenOats) reported@THESagerbomb @AEPOhio Are you guys way out in the sticks? My BIL works for a company out of Ohio that travels all over the country restoring power. If AEP is understaffed you’d think they could hire an outside company to work on it. We have friends in central OH that had theirs restored earlier
-
T (@PlushieMoo0) reported@IsThatZAE @AEPOhio oh they don’t do ****. i tried.
-
Anthony Y (@hunkura) reportedI am now 48 hours without power, @AEPOhio.
-
Larry Fletcher (@vegasfletch2015) reported@ThadClaggettOH Why are our representatives allowing @AEPOhio & @PUCOhio to price citizens out of a decent standard of living. These rate increases by AEPOhio are insane.I thought the Ohio PUCO was suppose to protect consumers? It ain't working
-
Drew🇺🇸✒️📔 (@DrewTBR) reported@AEPOhio send it where? and how? and yeah if the line is outside my window I'll start as far away as I can obviously but if it were to disconnect it's electricity going to shock me if it touches me window
-
Anthony Y (@hunkura) reported@AnitaSomaniMD I live in 43017. I have not had power for the last 48 hours (since the wind storm on Friday 3/13). I'm wondering if @AEPOhio has too much of a monopoly of the power grid and is too understaffed to handle its customers. Can't there be measurables put in place where if a monopoly cannot keep their empire running, it should be given to someone who can manage it more effectively?
-
Dwarr (@umbra200) reported@owenning13 @AEPOhio All the price increases the last several years they said was it invest and update the infrastructure yet it’s never been this bad with all the power outages
-
Patriot PAC (@PACPatriot) reported@AEPOhio claims to have 2,700 people working to turn the power on for their little area in Ohio. Duke Energy can do an area 10x the size and far greater numbers with less than half the staff. So AEP is either lying or totally incompetent. @GovMikeDeWine Ohio deserves a refund.
-
Welderfixer (@Welderfixer2) reported@AEPOhio Highest rates around and no website to report or system to call to report or get status of outage .... 🤬 Be nice to get a little $ off the bill for the inconvenience🙄
-
AIBIOBEATS RADIO (@Christinex30c) reported@AEPOhio I did last week and you said you were sending people out to trim that tree but they keep on doing tree that dont need it without putting in actual work
-
Holly (Owner of Hand Poured Hobbies) (@medusa7111) reported@AEPOhio That seems to be the problem. I’ve voiced my concerns w the PUC and will continue to do so. It’s a greedy scam.
-
AJ (@NotAdamWalker) reportedNot my power going out in middle of playing mlb….BRUHHHHH @AEPOhio !!!!

-
DangerDoelin (@DangerDoelin) reported@AEPOhio @FTabster Your outage page never updates and just says assessing for everything so how exactly is this response helpful.
-
DC (@djc1966oh) reported@AEPOhio going on 5 hours!!!! 13th largest city in the country… Paying over $800 a month for your unreliable service for a less than 1900 sq ft home. Fine… it’s a bad windstorm but 5 hours as temps drop…. What the h*ll are you doing w/ all our money??(besides pocketing it)
-
Michael Heinze (@Michael82223524) reported@AEPOhio When can we expect power to be restored to 43221? No updates, no estimate, and it’s been 15 hours.
-
Quack Quack Waddle Waddle (@WaddleQuack) reported@AEPOhio Maybe you should have taken the bribery money that was used to solicit rate hikes and bail outs through "Empowering Ohio's Economy" to bury the power wires so wind will not take them down.
