I have been at Verizon for over an hour waiting on hold so I can use my new phone (so angry). A woman just walked in with a flip phone she purchased in 2010. Damn! All the power to her.

Good thing @Verizon FIOS works well because every time I try to change my service they make me want to run away screaming. Today, I’ve been bouncing around the @VerizonSupport chat for hours with no answers. In the meantime I’m stuck paying outrageous expired contract prices.

  • NorthernSprw
Northern Sparrow (@NorthernSprw) reported from Manassas, Virginia

@GISH @mishacollins I just moved & it turns out Verizon has suspended all internet installations indefinitely for the US eastern seaboard. So I have no home internet. Am limited to my phone now (which is very old & slow). But I still want to see whatever crazy stuff everybody else makes

@VerizonSupport FiOS service was cancelled six months ago. For the first three months, auto pay was charged and we finally had it removed from the system. You said we would get a refund. We never did. For three more months you continued to bill us. We continued to call (1/2)

  • PottyJohn911
    Williamsburg Wrangler (@PottyJohn911) reported

@sweets_shanice Haven’t switched yet bc I’m lazy but the Verizon service has been awful lately

  • AustinFischerTX
    Austin (@AustinFischerTX) reported

Early on, Verizon aggressively pursued its mmWave rollout. From what I’ve read, Verizon never actually claimed it would blanket the country with this spectrum — that perception was largely the result of their own aggressive marketing. At the time, without n77, deploying the backbone layer of 5G wasn’t yet viable. Rather than sit idle, they worked with what they had — their high-band spectrum. This was actually a financially prudent move; upgrading their entire grid to 5G before securing n77 would have meant costly rework down the line. The strategy made sense right up until the n77 auction changed the equation.

@BigDickBarclay Christ almighty I had someone like that when I was with Verizon. I'm designing entire Trunking networks and they're wondering why I'm not going to the office lunch gathering because "I've got **** to do!"

AT&T guy at target stopped us and told us he can get all 6 likes for $163 a month for 36 months and that our bill would go down because our phones would be paid off. Seemed like too good to be true…curious though. Verizon is expensive.

@LarryJones I was forced to get vaccinated by Verizon… we received emails as management that we had to get vaccinated and upload proof or we would be terminated. As a single mother, I complied and regretted it since. My daughter that did not get vaccinated has never had Covid. Me- 3 xs

  • TeriRadichel
    Teri Radichel #cybersecurity #pentesting (@TeriRadichel) reported

@petergyang Maybe they didn’t. Maybe someone is exploiting a vulnerability. Maybe it is a bug like a routing or concurrency issue or a problem that exists only on certain servers or training sets or only when the model takes a certain path. Or only on certain networks like only Verizon network or something like that. Not everyone is seeing the problem. But I noticed that a lot of security researchers have experienced it.

@LibertyMarieEP Was just participating in a city meeting where no one questioned why the city was paying $350 per month to Verizon for service for a cellphone and IPad. City employees were just like “that’s what to costs.”. Way above what they should be paying. No questioning it or concerns. Just paying the inflated costs.
