@USPS Epic fail. If you’re going to send packages do not trust this company. Sent a package out December 5, cost $71 to send, and now they’re telling me it might not get there before Christmas. Three hours on the phone and nobody knows anything. Customer service has been terrible

@mypolburneracct @Pilot9 @cnnbrk No, the USPS told them to mail it in LATE. Colorado has been telling voters to mail it in at least 8 days before the election, and now USPS is telling them they can delay by an extra day.

  • ramichemusic
RAMICHE (@ramichemusic) reported from Coral Springs, Florida

@vananacabana False that’s not what was said. It was stated that the @USPS needed to up their prices to companies like @amazon and so on to do their deliveries for them because the postal service loses money everytime they take those packages and delivers them to the people

  • thomassfl
🇺🇸Thomas-S Fla🇺🇸 (@thomassfl) reported from Deerfield Beach, Florida

I would trust the trash trucks driving around and picking ballots up more than the USPS for 100% error free mail. How many ballots will be lost. I get absentee ballots every year and drop them at supervisor of election office by hand. Is disenfranchising me ok since I am white?

  • H2H32004

@moonmothman @stealthwahine @laurenboebert I contacted the IRS on February 12th, over an issue, it was answered in about 15 minutes and then after we discussed it,they contacted me via-usps mail about it…..

If you text USPS to 50409, @resistbot will send letters to your senators and representative in support of the postal service. Takes under one minute. I did it and it’s super easy. Don’t let your vote be suppressed. Help save our democracy! #SaveTheUSPS #VOTE

Nothing pisses me off more than waiting an hour for someone like Verizon or USPS to call me back about a problem and my iPhone just immediately silents the call & sends to voicemail 🤡 It’s ok I wanted to wait an extra hour anyways 💯

  • ivingffhs

@ChrisCoons @USPS Senator us that all you can say. They are tampering with the delivery of mail a federal offence. Stop talking and do something.

  • Msporea

If @USPS delivers on Sundays, then @USPSHelp needs to offer support on Sundays too! Now I’m stuck with no delivery note, no way to meet the driver back at the local facility to pickup.

The USPS wants ever more money to transport ever less 1st Class mail. Meanwhile, private carriers have seen huge profits in parcel deliveries. Force USPS to compete! Stop hiring unfit DEI employees, fire unproductive, unwilling, and incompetent workers. Focus on customer service!

@CardPurchaser and community I have a small problem. I bought a card on eBay that was shipped via eBay standard (with the ESU number) tracking says it was delivered but o never received the card. eBay denied my claim because it was “delivered “. I can’t file claim on USPS.

Instead of cutting the fat at the top with postmasters, MPOOs etc… making over 6 figures a year @USPS wants to screw the ones who actually do the work. We need @DOGE to come in and get rid of all the waste and fraud. Talk to employees on what they see is the problem and for solutions

In time for delivery today 4/10/26. Now , I'm told not today as no one has canned the package - marked and paid for as 3-day priority mail- to be delivered today. It will not be delivered until tomorrow No answer from the local post office @USPS you're worried /3

  • SliferSlackin

@PG_rayC @TCGplayer USPS is ***. They've lost more than one of my orders from TCGplayer (or the seller never shipped them, had an issue with Direct recently too), but asking for more because the price went up is incredibly sus.

@WallStreetApes Grok: retirees I understand your concern—retirees relying on their USPS pensions (annuities) to cover mortgages and daily expenses shouldn’t have to worry about disruptions, especially if payments feel delayed or incomplete right now. Let’s clarify based on the latest official details from the April 9, 2026 announcement and related reporting. What USPS Actually Suspended USPS is temporarily pausing only its own employer contributions to the defined-benefit portion of the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) annuity—the traditional pension side. This started April 10, 2026, and is expected to free up about $2.5 billion in cash this fiscal year to help avoid running out of liquidity (they’ve warned of potential cash exhaustion by early 2027 without reforms).11 This does not include: •Current retirees’ annuity payments: These continue to be paid by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), not directly from USPS cash flow. USPS, unions (like NALC), and officials have repeatedly stated there is no immediate impact on checks going out to existing retirees. •Employees’ own contributions (deducted from paychecks)—those still go to OPM. •The Thrift Savings Plan (TSP)—the 401(k)-style account, including employer matching and automatic contributions. •Social Security employer portions. In short, the pause is on USPS adding its share to the overall FERS funding pot for future obligations, not on writing checks to people already retired. This is similar to a step they took in 2011 during a prior crunch. Employee service credit toward future annuities also continues. Why Some Retirees Might Be Experiencing Delays If you’re hearing from (or are) retired postal workers whose payments seem “missing” or late, that could stem from separate processing issues at OPM or USPS, not this specific pension contribution pause: •OPM handles the actual disbursement of FERS annuities for federal retirees, including USPS. Backlogs, paperwork errors, or system updates can sometimes cause delays in starting or adjusting payments—independent of USPS’s funding actions. •One recent report mentioned dozens of USPS retirees waiting months for benefits to start, with little explanation. This predates or runs parallel to the contribution pause and points more to administrative hurdles than a direct cut due to the cash conservation plan. •Broader USPS financial strain (declining mail volume, high costs, legacy obligations) can indirectly create bottlenecks, but officials emphasize current retiree payments are protected short-term. If a retiree’s check is genuinely not arriving as expected, the best immediate steps are: •Contact OPM directly (their retirement information center or phone line for annuitants). •Reach out to the retiree’s former USPS HR or union representative. •Check for any required forms or address updates that might be holding things up. Longer-Term Picture This move highlights USPS’s ongoing structural problems. Without congressional changes (on pricing flexibility, pre-funding rules, etc.), more pressure could build. However, the pension system itself is backed by the federal government, and FERS annuities for current retirees aren’t being clawed back or halted by this action. If this is affecting someone specific you know (e.g., exact nature of the “missing” payments—first check never started, reduced amount, or total stoppage?), more details could help narrow it down. In the meantime, the official line from USPS CFO and unions is clear: current retirees should not see immediate changes to their annuity income from this pause.

@macher_de_nass @firearmblog I will believe that when I see it. Did you hear that the USPS will lose 20% of their Amazon delivery contract? I would expect their prices to rise not fall as a result of that.

@JamesTate121 @UpNorthOpinions The special laws that were made in connection with the USPS’ pensions should be. I’m on knowledge, yet get hardly any attention. There has long been a plan to force them into these problems so they can be privatized. It’s disgusting.
