According to one of the techs my mom was talking to yesterday they did say there is planned hardware upgrades currently underway taking a bit longer than usual.

Everyone in our area in Lakewood CA is having the same exact service issue with the planned service level hardware upgrades as just about everyone else in the SoCal service region. As your systems say that everything is normal that isn't the case right now.
