I have had to use additional Xfinity service to finish school work due to our building internet not working for 30 days now. Mind you this is only per device.

The only time I did was with their wifi modem, those things only lst 2-3 years. But you can buy one for under 100 from best buy, and make the money back by not paying a rentl fee for their crappy modem.
