Having either one bar or nothing but a symbol that says “SOS.” Is this due to rain? When will service be fully restored? I’ve tried calling Verizon and couldn’t get help.

My understanding is that it would help protect you from Verizon but not the websites you go to, and only if you’re using Safari. It seems to be a relatively complex proxy designed to prevent the proxy itself from gathering info. I could be wrong.
