It’s still around in remote parts of the US that Verizon & Sprint haven’t upgraded, but it’s a dead tech. LTE is based on GSM and it’s a bandwidth/spectrum issue now.

Verizon and AT&T are using enterprise fiber I think on a few sites in the town which is why VZ only had a few sites down while AT&T had more sites down. Att uses more enterprise fiber on sites as they run it to the school as well, not sure what t mobile uses but theyre chilling. No issues on them.
