@MokStarKiller @PGE4Me PG&E, our electricity provider in CA, didn’t modernize its infrastructure, and in conjunction with weak guidance/solutions from the State, got to a point where its equipment and power lines can spark wild fires. Amid high winds, they basically turned off NorCal as precaution.

  • scotia626
scotia626 (@scotia626) reported from Tamalpais Valley, California

Anyone who has an accident at home or on the today due to @PGE4Me “preemptive power outages” needs to sue them and @GavinNewsom who has displayed the opposite of leadership in allowing them to cut their risk by putting MILLIONS of individuals at risk.

  • DavidBFox
David Fox 🔜 #XRDC (@DavidBFox) reported from San Anselmo, California

@MarcLevine Our San Anselmo neighborhood lost power at 2:48pm but it doesn’t seem to be part of the big shutdown. @PGE4Me doesn’t know why yet. 4242 households affected.

  • scribstress
Dawn Scribner (@scribstress) reported from San Rafael, California

@AlanBleiweiss @PGE4Me Power out all over the County-absolutely NO wind in SanRafael.

  • scotia626
scotia626 (@scotia626) reported from Tamalpais Valley, California

.@GavinNewsom letting @PGE4Me put millions of Californians at risk is the opposite of leadership. If the whole grid is unsafe on a windy day it’s unsafe every day. You can’t pick and choose. This is total bullshit in the interest of protecting a corrupt utility.

  • scotia626
scotia626 (@scotia626) reported from Tamalpais Valley, California

So @GavinNewsom when @pge turns off our power in order to protect @PGE4Me, and our cell service and WiFi goes down, how are the hundreds of thousands of us with no land lines supposed to get emergency messages. All ears here. Any deaths are on you.

  • keith_pence
Keith Pence (@keith_pence) reported from San Rafael, California

All senior @PGE4Me management who knew about the risk of their faulty power lines should receive life sentences in jail.

  • keith_pence
Keith Pence (@keith_pence) reported from San Rafael, California

How tf did @PGE4Me shut down power without any sort of warning to their customers ? What if someone was in the middle of a medical treatment ??

  • scotia626
scotia626 (@scotia626) reported from Tamalpais Valley, California

@GavinNewsom @LawrenceLeritz You also green lit cutting power, cable, cell service and internet for 2 million people this week with no regard for public safety. You’re the @PGE4Me whipping boy and failed your first leadership test by every measure.

  • Vanilliott
Elliott (@Vanilliott) reported from San Rafael, California

@PGE4Me @NWS it is 44 degrees out and no wind. Turn my f*cking power on.

  • goldenmatt
Matt Golden (@goldenmatt) reported from Tamalpais Valley, California

@panamaredhat @Negawatt_Nate @RachelEGolden @PGE4Me @PoweredbyEBCE Heat pumps are not a religion. They are an important part of a well balanced grid. And I'm sorry. More AC load as a by-product of heat pumps is not a good thing. Which doesn't mean heat pumps are a bad thing. Let's just use complete math so we make smart policies that work.

  • dmanning77
Donal Manning (@dmanning77) reported from San Rafael, California

@andyzonneveld @pcon34 @PGE4Me Yeah, that’s the problem, they oversee something and that company “donates” to those officials.

@PGE4Me why in ******** are electricity prices so high and why is the PG&E site so terrible??? Is this due to: A. Government B. PG&E C. Both A & B I'm sick of the truly pathetic prices dished out by CA and the dismal ******* service for these outrageous prices!!!

@MarioNawfal Looks just like a transformer going out or other similar electrical grid equipment failure We see it all the time out here in California right @PGE4Me

  • Tpsmyth01
    Tim Smyth (@Tpsmyth01) reported

@fredstaffordcs The issue in my mind is unlike in SF where municipalization advocates think they can pull a fast one and just buyout @PGE4Me on the cheap there is a realization in NYC that the bulk of ConEd is "in" the city so that means buying the entire company for $40 billion plus. @Lanier4SF

  • caenergyfacts
CA Energy Fact Check (@caenergyfacts) reported

For the third consecutive time since last September, @PGE4Me energy supply and delivery customers are seeing their rates drop. But like a broken record, @UtilityReform can't face the facts and misleads about future rates.
