@SmokenMirrors24 @MatrixMysteries The video is a Connecticut woman (TikTok ashsalaf) showing her ~$1,113 monthly electric bill (likely Eversource). Actual supply/usage: $236.71. Transmission: $87. Delivery: ~$175. "Public Benefits" surcharge: $227.76—nearly matching usage. This is a state-mandated charge (not new, but newly itemized for transparency under 2023 law) funding ~57 programs: low-income bill aid, energy efficiency, renewables/EV incentives, etc. All ratepayers cover it via per-kWh fees; CT total >$1B/year. Can't opt out.

@cantspellguy @iluminatibot Yes, for a typical Eversource CT residential bill (avg ~$215/month at 650-700 kWh usage, rates as of early 2026): - Supply (generation): ~40% - Transmission: ~10% - Local delivery (grid maint.): ~25% - Public benefits (efficiency, low-income aid, renewables, nuclear contracts, uncollectibles): ~20% - Fixed customer charge + taxes/other: ~5% Public benefits is ~$40-45 on that bill, all per-kWh except the small fixed fee. Varies slightly by utility/season.

@GovNedLamont @EversourceCT @UnitedIllum You going to whine about eversource after the storm? That is your typical behavior

@MassClimate @MassGovernor @EEASecretary Currently Eversource charges (Newton Power Choice 100% green option) 29.6 cents per kWh. Equals 7 cents /kWh saved as community aggregation participant. Would we pay 30 cents /kWh or more, if we invested in 💯 clean renewable source? We’re losing everything that matters with gas!
