Due to the lack of electricity flowing through the power lines in this area, we are unfortunately able to open today Thursday October 28, 2021. Please continue to be patient as Eversource and their respected tree companies and local DPW's get things back up and operational.

This morning, an Eversource customer service rep told me Eversource wants the auto payment processed early to ensure it goes though. That makes no sense. Has she been trained for her job? If that's true, why aren't the dates when you process regular monthly payments different?

@SmokenMirrors24 @MatrixMysteries The video is a Connecticut woman (TikTok ashsalaf) showing her ~$1,113 monthly electric bill (likely Eversource). Actual supply/usage: $236.71. Transmission: $87. Delivery: ~$175. "Public Benefits" surcharge: $227.76—nearly matching usage. This is a state-mandated charge (not new, but newly itemized for transparency under 2023 law) funding ~57 programs: low-income bill aid, energy efficiency, renewables/EV incentives, etc. All ratepayers cover it via per-kWh fees; CT total >$1B/year. Can't opt out.

@senatorduff @CTSenateDems You do know that Eversource laughs at this, right? If you really want to help CT then force them to stop charging ridiculously high rates to begin with.

Maura Healey has been promising to lower our energy costs since 2017. As AG. As governor. Nine years of promises. Two natural gas pipelines killed. Highest utility bills we have ever seen. And now a brand new promise to fix it by 2035? We just opened our Eversource bill. You cat to be kitten us right now Healey.

So, Eversource wants their customers to "add a dollar" to help others that cannot afford their prices. I am all for helping my neighbors, but not happy that our "help" is actually making Eversource executives even more wealthy. Lower your prices!! #CorporateGreed

@Uxia_JoLLyFooL @GovNedLamont He only cares about taxing us to death, allowing eversource to **** us with obscene energy hikes & trying to strip our 2A rights oh & driving businesses out of the state

CT families are getting crushed. Eversource just hiked supply rates 13% this winter, adding $10–20/month already. Now they want to recover $3 BILLION in deferred storm & infrastructure costs, which could mean even bigger hits coming. PURA needs to protect ratepayers, not let utilities pile up charges for years then slam us! Sick of paying some of the highest electric bills in America while the grid still fails in every storm. Enough! #CTEnergyCrisis #Eversource"

@Doug_G_413 Electricity supply (since Jan 2023): up ~5% (wholesale markets; e.g. Eversource basic service recent +5% to 15.6¢/kWh). Electricity delivery: up ~25-30% (transmission/distribution hikes + policy costs). Natural gas supply: up ~15% (wholesale gas fluctuations). Natural gas delivery: up 30-38% (Eversource/National Grid DPU-approved infrastructure/Mass Save). Varies by utility/season; full breakdowns in utility tariffs/DPU filings.

@Mammuthus_ They had better not, I have other things to deal with at the moment. We did get the Eversource call tonight about the upcoming storm.
