Upton Police Dept (@UptonPolice) reported from Upton, MassachusettsThis morning @UptonFireEMS responded to Nipmuc HS for an odor of gas in a classroom. The building was quickly evacuated. Small leak located in the classroom; gas service shut off & building ventilated. Eversource responded and determined building was safe.

There isn’t some magical discount just because you live closer to a generation station. That plant might not even be supplying you with power. But yes eversource sucks

Wayland Fire (@WaylandFire) reportedUpdate on utility emergency - Route 27 will be closed in both directions for a few hours while Eversource makes repairs to the power lines. It is closed at the intersection of Rt 27/Rt 126 and Rt 27/Glezen.

Patrick Tash (@PatrickETash) reported@_baldtires I'd suppose this is due to NH's relatively low population density? Eversource has a low number of customers per mile of transmission line it'd make sense they'd charge more per customer to build/maintain those lines. Still wildly off balance imo
