    So @WasteManagement front end loader truck came through Melville today, by my house with his forks up, tore down a powerline, a pole and ripped the weatherhead and siding off my house, i'm sure @slemco will charge me for all the damage...how it goes.

    SLEMCO is asking everyone to turn off water heaters, thermostats to 68 or lower, no washer/dryer etc. use to preserve the power grid. (until 9p.m.)

    @la_psc making decisions about changes to SLEMCO’s storm restoration costs due to FEMA paying 90% of costs for Laura, Delta, and Prep for Ida. SLEMco expected 75% coverage from FEMA. Slemco customers will see average $1.73 storm charge on bills.

    I’m sure both sides had a hand in it. What is the Louisiana legislature doing to break up the monopolies that energy companies have on areas? I should be able to choose between Entergy, Slemco etc. based on who is going to give me the best rates. And it would be nice if when the power is out, I’m not still somehow paying for power. And not letting them charge surcharges on every single customer because another region was without power and they had to fix the lines they’re responsible for fixing… There are lots of problems with the electric companies in Louisiana that started well before the clean energy scams.

    Slemco don’t play when it come to electricity going out, my **** went off for 5 min and started surging again, rayne **** be going off and take decades to fix, be having 10 trucks out for nothing.

    @houdatlisa Yes. All praise to Slemco whose lightning circuit breakers appear to be doing their job. Electricity has gone out for about 5 seconds a few times.
