@fight4newjersey **Exact number of corporations that have "left" NJ (full relocation or closure) isn't centrally tracked by the state, but here's the data:** - Fortune 500 HQs headquartered in NJ: 22 in 2018 → 15 in 2025 (net loss of 7 major ones over ~7 years; examples include Honeywell moving to NC in 2018). - Notable relocations & consolidations have reduced large employers. On revenue: - Corporation Business Tax (CBT, NJ's 2nd-largest General Fund source): Down 36.7% YTD FY2026 ($1.412B vs prior year) per NJ Treasury—driven by higher refunds & lower estimated payments. Full-year projection: ~5% decline. - Total state revenues still up 4% YTD. Business groups (NJ Chamber, NJBIA) link this to NJ's highest-in-nation 11.5% corp tax rate. No official tally attributes exact $ lost solely to departures vs other factors like profits/refunds.

  • GAMA_Eur
    GAMA Europe 🛩🚁 (@GAMA_Eur) reported

France-based Honeywell Process Technology announced that energy company Verso Energy will use its Honeywell UOP eFining™ methanol-to-jet processing technology to produce electro-sustainable aviation fuel (eSAF) at seven planned production sites in France, Finland and the United States. The agreement is designed to help Verso reduce capital expenses, accelerate market entry and expand global sustainable aviation fuel capacity by leveraging Honeywell’s advanced standardised design and technology. Honeywell’s eFining process converts carbon dioxide from biological sources, renewable power and hydrogen into eFuels including eSAF, which can be blended with conventional jet fuel without changes to existing aircraft or infrastructure and has the potential to cut greenhouse-gas emissions by about 88 per cent compared to fossil-derived jet fuel. Demand for eSAF is expected to grow under initiatives such as the European Union’s ReFuelEU regulations, and Verso’s projects could produce around 200 million US gallons of eSAF annually once operational. Early European projects like DEZiR and ReSTart have also secured EU Innovation Fund support, with the DEZiR facility in France slated to start delivering eSAF by 2030.

@MacroBombastic Maybe. Let’s check the facts and you tell me which one is hype. August 2022. Honeywell finds Chinese alloy in one F-35 pump. Pentagon suspends deliveries of 126 aircraft. That happened. April 2025. China cuts rare earth magnet exports to Japan by 91% using licensing delays. No embargo announced. That happened. January 6, 2026. China bans dual use exports to Japan over a single Taiwan statement. That happened three weeks ago. China controls 99% of heavy rare earth processing. That’s not my number. That’s the US Geological Survey. DFARS 252.225-7052 Phase 2 activates January 1, 2027 requiring 0% Chinese content in defense supply chains. That’s federal law. Already passed. The F-35 contains 920 pounds of rare earth materials. That’s Pentagon data. So we have 99% control versus 0% allowed, a weapon already tested on Japan, a deadline already set in law, and 334 days between now and then. Which part is the hype? I’m genuinely asking. Point to the number that’s wrong and I’ll correct it. Point to the event that didn’t happen and I’ll delete the thread. Or maybe the problem isn’t hype. Maybe the problem is that the facts sound like hype because nobody’s been paying attention.

Spent the past 2 hours trying to figure it out and finally found some hidden settings in the thermo where I can reverse the energize on settings... ******* ... @karpathy Reality: My Google Nest Thermostat + Heat Link connected to a Worcester boiler has been malfunctioning for a while, so I need to revert to the simple non-smart wireless Honeywell thermostat. There is also no clear indication from Google that they will continue supporting the Nest thermostat line for this part of the world. With due respect, I don’t think the industry can realistically reconfigure into a set of sensors and actuators with agent-native ergonomics—it will simply be a nightmare to maintain.

@toog416 It increased total spending both via higher borrowing costs than public, but also because part of the contracts involved privatizing services like maintenance with higher ongoing costs and no competition. What Honeywell charges in a P3 is 10x in an open RFP. Less money for care
