    When we first called they admitted that they forgot to cancel it. The domain name has been for sale since 2018 and is still currently for sale with GoDaddy. Now they are trying to say that the charges were for hosting, yes, hosting the domain that we don't even own.

    @kalashvasaniya I bought a domain for a few grand from GoDaddy. I hit the buy it now button paid and it was in my account a few minutes later. Didn't even need any customer service.

    @GoDaddy I had auto-renew ON and paid Full Domain Protection on my domain. It still expired and was moved to your aftermarket without a single phone call. Now you want me to use Broker Service to buy back my OWN domain? WHOIS shows GoDaddy renewed it internally to 2027. This is not right. We are a small children's storybook business and this domain is critical. Please escalate. Case details shared on WhatsApp support.

    Raw data is like crude oil, valuable but useless until refined. GoDaddy owns the world’s best domain sales data yet their appraisal system is broken. it won’t value any name above $25k. Meanwhile, prediction markets refine raw data + crowd wisdom into accurate valuations in real time. The data exists. Why isn’t it being used correctly?

    @ArtenaPro @GoDaddy I bought a domain on go daddy last month and I honestly struggled to navigate to the final page . Almost gave up. I’ve been in IT for 20 years and am a domain investor . Heaven help the average Joe buy one !!

    @GoDaddy I canceled a service in January and have been chasing a refund ever since. I’ve spoken to 4 different agents and still no resolution. This is unacceptable. Extremely poor customer service—I will never use your services again and strongly advise others to avoid.

    @Ric_RTP I applied to work at @OpenAI in 2019 and was one of the first users of GPT-2 - they threw my resume in the trash. I created OpenCure in 2024 and nobody listened. I lost the .com because @GoDaddy has horrible customer service. Now BioLLM has 10x this mRNA vax in our CRISPR product

    & if you're doing it maliciously because I didn't renew domain names and those domains are no longer in your registry now belonging to the open market obviously profit isn't there anymore I will not make any changes I want people looking at the service I'm being given by @GoDaddy

    It’s been a memorable 20 years @GoDaddy but today we part ways. The last 5/6 domains I’ve bought I’ve had to spend hours EACH with support to point it where I want. I’ve spent 3 hours TODAY trying to address this with support and all I get is disconnected and please don’t worry we’ll fix it. I’ll fix it by moving to a registrar whose default is customer service not upselling a frustrated customer.

    Billion dollar opportunity for GoDaddy… Option to check the availability of handles across all social networks when buying a domain. Nothing worse than getting to the third or fourth social network and realizing you can’t get the same handle as the rest.

    @datacubecom @GoDaddy I had similar issue multiple times, found out that the name in GD and Credit card are not matching and hence the issue. Once I changes the name in GoDaddy, never faced issue again.

    GoDaddy. A major win, every week, week after week. I often wonder if *anyone* has common sense today... like most did 30 years ago. If GoDaddy software screws up in these peculiar ways, here and there, nearly every week.... undetected at least until public customers post about it... it is VERY LIKELY that there are major security and stability problems in the platform/stack. And yet, so many of you continue to work with GoDaddy. And I didn't even mention the frequent changes to their policy and terms, which are usually adding liability protections for GoDaddy, not you, and not improving anything.

    Damn! It seems all @godaddy @godaddyhelp does anymore is give you the runaround. They used to be helpful and knowledgeable. Now it's all about retention, even against your will. Let the man and his domains go. Smh

    Used @GoDaddy for years. Annual plan auto-renewed by mistake, caught it on day 10 and canceled immediately. 7-day refund window. No prorated option. No exception, even after canceling right away having not used the service. GoDaddy is willing to lose a 6-year customer over 3 days. If there’s a team that can review this for a one-time exception, I’m open to it.

    @NoFrankingWay @GoDaddy Just migrated over a dozen domains away from GD. Lots of customer host apps on old intranet subs, and apex (root) just goes to a blank page. Their original design / accounts. GD classified empty index pages on apex as parked and quietly started replacing with bullshit ad pages. Wretched company.

    so, the problem with my DNS record was because I did not remove the parking IPs that godaddy by-default provides, so SSL wasn't pointing towards the correct hosted domain, i.e, towards Railway

    @TonyNames You trust these registrars that much huh? Cos surely they would never shill bid, inflate, relay your max bids, or do anything unethical... 😶 It's not like GoDaddy has ever front ran the whois queries or sold that data, let alone any of the smaller guys 😶
