Allunar🍷 (@TheOmniBully) reportedI mean, not really if you go back and look at how I (and others) have defined fandom. You can post screenshots but nothing here is really valuable to your argument, especially when you're citing posts that aren't even serious. The only thing I think you could argue is Destiny 2, but I think there are certain conditions to fandom that just being interested in the meta gameplay of an online live service shooter does not in of itself meet. I think you need some interest in characters, stories, lore to qualify. Like not once in my life have I seen the word "fandom" be applied to online shooters, no one says "destiny 2 fandom" or ""pubg fandom" or "apex legends fandom" or fortnite, or valorant, or whatever, and I think there's good reason for that, it's just not the same kind of community at all.

The problem is fortnite was competitive until like early s5 of chapter 1, after that is when they started adding things to 'balance' out the playing field.
